Senior Talent Acquisition and Retention Specialist

  • Develop and execute comprehensive talent acquisition strategies to meet the hiring needs of the organization, including proactive sourcing methods, recruitment advertising, and employer branding initiatives.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop job descriptions that accurately reflect requirements, responsibilities, and expectations.
  • Develop inclusive and engaging job postings and utilize various recruitment channels, including job boards, social media, networking events, and industry partnerships, to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates.
  • Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and assess candidate qualifications to ensure alignment with position requirements and organizational culture fit.
  • Lead and coordinate the interview process, including scheduling interviews, facilitating candidate evaluations, and providing feedback to stakeholders.
  • Manage the candidate experience from initial contact through the on-boarding stage, ensuring a positive and professional interaction at every touchpoint.
  • Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and legal requirements related to talent acquisition and retention, and proactively recommend improvements or adjustments to recruitment processes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external recruitment agencies, universities, and other talent sources to expand the candidate pipeline and build a strong employer brand.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement retention strategies, including employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and career development opportunities.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze turnover data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in retention efforts.
  • Utilize data and metrics to track recruitment and retention performance, identify areas for optimization, and report on key talent acquisition and retention metrics to senior leadership.

Required Experience

  • 5-7 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, or HR roles, with a proven track record of success in sourcing and attracting top talent.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; or equivalent education, training and experience required
  • Experience in developing and implementing employee retention strategies and initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices, sourcing techniques, and employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in HRIS, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and other relevant HR software.
  • Ability to interface and communicate effectively with multiple functional groups, geographic regions, different levels of internal and client organizations.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Education

  • Certification in HR or Talent Acquisition (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-SCP)

  • Demonstrated ability to represent the organization professionally in various settings, including meetings, conferences, and networking events.
  • Adherence to professional etiquette and standards, including appropriate attire, language, and behavior in alignment with organizational values and expectations.
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences and the ability to communicate respectfully and inclusively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Commitment to upholding the organization's professional reputation and brand through all communications and interactions with internal and external stakeholders.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • No direct reports, but leadership qualities needed for providing direction, influencing, and motivating others
