Pay: $140,000 - $150,000 w/ benefits package

Exciting Opportunity: Sr. Systems Engineer – Space Mission Systems

We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Systems Engineer - Space Mission Systems, supporting one of our premier programs within the business unit. In this role, you will apply your expertise in clarifying requirements, conducting system engineering analyses, developing algorithms, defining and deriving requirements, and performing validation and verification of systems. This position will be based on-site at either our Aurora, CO or Richardson, TX campuses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct technical analyses and define system operations by creating use cases.
• Decompose requirements, define system interfaces, and collaborate with the test team to determine how requirements will be validated and verified.
• Provide engineering support and technical direction for the execution of specific program test processes, including baseline definition, test architecture design, verification, and validation.
• Support regression testing across multiple releases to ensure alignment with the program baseline.
• Participate in technical reviews and interchanges to ensure successful program execution.

Required Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Active and transferable Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for security clearance).
• Experience with the full Systems Engineering lifecycle, with specific expertise in one or more of the following areas: operations concept development, requirements management, functional analysis/synthesis, interface definition and control, and/or verification and validation.
• Prior development experience working on government contracts.
• Proficiency in Agile and DevSecOps development methodologies.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Experience in Satellite Command/Control, Mission Management, or Mission Planning.
• Familiarity with Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, etc.
• Experience working with requirements management tools like DOORS or other databases.
• Background in working with DevOps/DevSecOps within an Agile environment.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python.
