Qualis Corporation is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to be an integral member of our well rounded team in Orlando, FL.
Duties:
- Member of Government program Enterprise Engineering Team
- Designs, develops, supports, and maintains the organization's systems infrastructure, including the implementation and design of hardware and software.
- Provides analysis related to the design, development, and integration of hardware, software, man-machine interfaces and all system level requirements to provide an integrated IT solution.
- Develops integrated system test requirement, strategies, devices and systems.
- Directs overall system level testing.
- Formulates/defines system scope and objectives.
- Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
- Works with project managers, developers, and end users to ensure application designs meet business requirements.
- Prepares detailed specifications for programs.
- Assists in the design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of new software and enhancements of existing applications.
- Provides consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top-level contributor/specialist of most phases of systems analysis, while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.
- Identifies the program Technical Architecture Configuration Incidents and ensures they are assigned a version IAW a provided Information Technology Services Management Implementation Guide (ITSM IG)
- Assigns each Configuration Incident (CI) a unique name and number IAW the ITSM IG and determines when changes must be made to these
- Identifies and manages CIs
- Ensures external component (hardware or software) use is understood, analyzed, and properly managed
- Negotiates Configuration Management (CfM) involvement with external stakeholders and captures these in MOA/MOUs as required
- Coordinates the creation of CCPs
- Generates CCPs in accordance with this ITSM IG
- Requests information and impacts from the RM team/Integrator for changes as required
- Ensures proper relationships are established between all data in the Configuration Management System
- Reviews products delivered by vendors and/or Contractor/Integrators to ensure all necessary information has been provided and that the product was developed in accordance with established requirements and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or engineer, software engineering
- Must have at least 7 to 10 years of experience
- Must have a DoD Secret security clearance
