We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for a 6-month contract (with the option to hire) role in Englewood, CO. This role will be onsite/ in the office in the DTC area (no remote options) and the role is open ASAP. This role will be onsite Monday-Friday during normal business hours (with an occasional rotation of on-call).
In this role, you will be an integral member of a Systems Engineering and Architecture team that focuses on systems, storage, and security systems. The responsibilities of this role are as follows:
- Assist with the design, implementation, and administration of highly available Public and Private Cloud Infrastructure
- Work closely with Vendors, Production Operations, Product Management, and Development teams to assure efficient and cost effective products are delivered
- Script/code to support infrastructure and automate routine tasks
- Analyze and improve reliability and efficiency of the infrastructure
- Troubleshoot alerts and resolve system issues/performance impacts
- Participate in an on-call rotation
- Experience managing and supporting enterprise infrastructure systems (thousands of mission-critical systems)
- Strong experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining SAN and NAS environments (Isilon, Pure Storage, ZFS, etc.)
- Strong experience with Linux/Unix system administration
- Hands-on experience with VMware virtualization
- Experience managing and supporting Cisco UCS infrastructure
- Experience with AWS services (IAM, EC2, Route53, CloudFormation, etc.)
- Experience using automation tools (Salt, Ansible, etc.)
- Experience using monitoring tools (New Relic, Grafana, etc.)
- Experience scripting/programming with Python, Bash, Javascript, PowerShell.
- Knowledge of software version control systems (Git)
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
