Senior Systems Administrator

A Systems Engineer III at TripAdvisor is someone who is responsible for the day to day of our corporate systems, has an expert level of understanding of core system/network administration concepts, and building production quality systems.

What You’ll Do

As a System Engineer III, you will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of our organization's IT infrastructure. You will work closely with other member of the team to ensure that our systems, both on-premises and in the cloud, meet the performance, availability, and security needs of the business. Your responsibilities will span a variety of technologies and platforms, including physical servers, virtual environments, and cloud-based SaaS tools. This position offers an excellent opportunity for you to continue to show your technical skills and contribute to the successful operation of our IT systems. In this role, you will deploy and manage on-premises hardware, as well as cloud-based services and applications. You will be involved in routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that our systems are secure and compliant with industry standards. Effective communication and collaboration with other IT staff and departments are essential, as you will work together to integrate new and optimize existing technologies to support the organization's goals.

Skills & Experience:

• Computer Science degree desirable or equivalent working experience in similar role
• 6+ years' experience managing IT systems
• Knowledge of enterprise tools/concepts such as Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory/Entra, Jira, Confluence, Google Workspace, Google Cloud, MFA, ZeroTrust
• Scripting experience using Python, Powershell, BASH, etc
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
