Senior Systems Administrator

  • Adhere to the Department’s policies and procedures in order to meet Department objectives and goals
  • Receiving & reviewing IT requests internally and log them into the system, in addition, to dealing with simple requests personally or liaising with other IT staff to ensure all requests are met within the IT policy & SLA
  • Conducting basic IT training for IT new joining employees and coordinate training needs on an ongoing basis with. Staff to ensure all employees can eff ectively use LCGPA’s technical assets
  • Maintaining IT department documentation and inventory in conjunction with other IT staff to ensure that allfi ling is up-to-date and documents are readily accessible
  • Liaising with vendors to meet with other IT department staff and initiate IT purchase requests to ensure timely.and cost-eff ective delivery
  • Ensuring all relevant quality, health, safety and environmental procedures and controls adhered to the setstandards so that the safety of employees, quality of products/services and environmental compliance can be.guaranteed
  • Preparing and submit the required reports and presentations to the Line Manager as per LCGPA guidelines and.standards
  • Performing the line manager duties when delegating is applied
  • Developing and implement short and long term plans to accommodate existing and future requirement
  • Developing policies and procedures related to infrastructure systems hardware and software acquisition, support,security, and backup
  • Ensuring the highest availability of all systems
  • Preparing RFP and SoW and review the technical proposals
  • Developing lifecycle and asset management, including maintenance of datacenter equipment
  • 3rd level of support with assign and following-up on the IT infrastructure tasks (Systems, Network, Information)Security & operations
  • Checking the systems and network availability, in addition, enhancing the quality of provided services andfollowing up with all global vendors
  • Following-up with IT Infrastructure projects to ensure the high quality of service and best practice ofrecommended confi guration
  • Consultant in hardware, software, and support vendors
  • Coordinating with all Information Technology members to align information security practices on all systemswhich are inherited by accredited government organizations
  • Ensuring that information technology resources are right-sized to meet current and future businessrequirements in a cost-eff ective manner
  • Checking all IT Infrastructure Scope of Works documents to ensure all services and their facilities will be deliveredas requested and fi t the business requirement
  • Risk Management for IT Infrastructure
  • Evaluating & estimating budgetary requirements for new hardware/software and equipment replacement
  • Following-up with the infrastructure team regarding updating/upgrading systems and their components
  • Matching international standards and their policies and procedures in order to protect LCGPA environment andits data & aligning with the Cybersecurity team
  • Maintaining the suitable time for downtime
  • Representing the IT sector in multiple committees/projects
