Scope:
We are looking for an experienced system engineer to take responsibility, lead and participate in the development of a radio-based drone detection and mitigation system as part of the company products.
The system engineer position requires the combination of several elements:
* Ownership and responsibility over multi-discipline system features
* Bring features and platforms from idea to execution.
* Define and guide the SW, DSP and FPGA teams for multi-discipline implementations and debugging.
* Define and analyze system behaviors, decision making and responses to events and radio link budget considerations.
* Participate in research and analysis of proprietary radio protocols and specific implementations of standard communication protocols.
* Independent debugging and analyzing for system problem solving and optimization using Excel, Python, MATLAB or any other LOG analysis tools.
* Understand the full system and guide and support testing and validation teams for testing methodologies, tools, and conceptual coverage holes.
* Work hands-on with the system, analyze sniffer LOGs, write scripts, fix code, work with RF test equipment.
Requirements:
- BSc/MSc/PhD from a known university in EE or CS or other DSP related studies.
- At least 8 years of experience in radio-based systems, 3 out of which as a communication system engineer, an algorithms communication engineer, an RF engineer, or a SW engineer dealing with system issues.
- Hands-on experience in a script SW language, like Python, JavaScript or MATLAB.
- Hands-on experience in research and development of communication protocols, such as Python or MATLAB feature analysis, operating RF test equipment, activating sniffers and analysing their LOGs, analysing system LOGs.
- Deep understanding of communication systems (i.e. more than one discipline)
- Team player with excellent communication skills, ability to lead tasks within the company and the desire to take on diverse challenges.
- Advantage: Knowledge in common wireless protocols, preferably 802.11.
