System Administrator
The System Administrator will be providing day-to-day system upkeep, conducting system & vulnerability scans and mitigating any findings, patching Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs), and updating software and operating systems.
What will you need?
- Fifteen (15) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a technical degree.
- Five (5) years of additional system administration experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree
- Demonstrated experience in planning and leading systems engineering efforts
- Proficient with Microsoft Entra/O365/Exchange Online
- Experience with Microsoft Powershell
- Experience with Quest KACE
- Experience with VMware vSphere virtualization systems administration (ESX). Ideally 5+ years experience
- Proficient with Windows System Administration (system including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution). Ideally 8+ years of experience (additional if no degree)
- System Performance Assessment/ System Performance Enhancement Skills
- Strong End-user support experience (3+ years of Customer support experience to include phone, email and in person contact as well as experience assisting end users with new desktop capabilities and/or software)
- Experience with monitoring tools to include ArchSight and Splunk
- Expertise with Network Monitoring tools (Tripwire, Xenos, Wireshark)
- Cabling and system design experience
- Experience with Confluence, JIRA, SharePoint
- Microsoft products experience to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Active Directory – Working knowledge
- Group Policy – Working knowledge
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking including VLANs, creating and managing DHCP scopes, and managing DNS servers
- Backups – configure and maintain backup architecture, perform test restores (Veeam Desired)
- Ability to install, configure and perform backups proficiently
- Ability to perform all routine maintenance, upgrades and security patching Microsoft Windows 2008/2012/2016 R2 servers proficiently
- Demonstrable server OS knowledge
- Working knowledge of Storage Area Networks
- Strong knowledge of specific and general storage technologies
- Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of troubleshooting, testing, and performance tuning
- Ability to interact well with all members of a team and all levels of expertise across the team
Desired skills include:
- Backup and Recovery Skills (Netbackup or similar tools)
- Scripting experience with Ansible or SALT
Active TS/SCI with an appropriate polygraph is required to be considered for this role
Salary range:
$132,918.00 - $287,470.00 (Annually)*
