Full Time Positions available – Senior Surgical Nurse/coordinator – Southpaws Moorabbin

The role
As a Senior Surgical Nurse, you should possess high quality skills in understanding & monitoring anaesthesia. You will strive for the best in patient care and work alongside the nursing team to ensure our high standards are met while working across a rotating roster with approximately 1 in 4 weekend cover and surgical on-call.
You will work closely with the anaesthesia team, surgeons, emergency clinicians and surgical nursing team to assist in an efficient and effective running of the day. You will be required to understand the priorities for the day and help lead the team and manage resources appropriately.
You will liaise with the emergency, surgery and anaesthesia teams throughout the day to prioritise the needs of our patients. We are looking for someone who understands and promotes our values, is passionate about patient care and maintaining our high standards of service. This role comes with mentorship and training, if it's not something you have tried before but you have the right attributes and skills, you will be considered for the role.
Certificate IV or equivalent qualification
4+ years’ experience in the industry
Ability to problem solve & think on your feet
A natural leader with a professional and positive demeanour
Ability to work efficiently with initiative in a face-paced environment
Exceptional organisational skills
An extensive knowledge and understanding of veterinary nursing procedures
High proficiency monitoring anaesthesia
Previous coordinating or leadership experience is advantageous but not essential
