Your Impact: 

The Senior Supervisor, Packaging Operations will be at the forefront of building and shaping our packaging operations. Your strategic insights, hands-on approach, and leadership will be critical in designing workflows, selecting equipment, hiring, and training the team, and establishing standard operating procedures. What You’ll Do: 

Location: Onsite at our Phoenix Distribution Center  
Reports to: Manager of Packaging Design & Operations 
Direct Reports: Supervise a team of 3 

  • Contribute to the development of a comprehensive strategy for packaging operations, considering production goals, resource allocation, equipment selection, and process optimization. 
  • Recruit, hire, and train a team of packaging operators, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence from the outset. 
  • Assist in the Design of end-to-end packaging processes, including material handling, quality control, and safety protocols, tailored to the needs of our growing department. 
  • Help with Identifying and procuring the necessary packaging equipment and technology, considering factors such as capacity, efficiency, and scalability. 
  • Collaborate closely with procurement, supply chain, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless integration of packaging operations within the larger operational framework. 
  • Establish and enforce safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance standards to ensure the highest product quality and employee well-being. 
  • Implement continuous improvement methodologies to refine packaging processes, enhance productivity, and reduce waste. 

What You Bring: 

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or equivalent work experience. 
  • 2 years of experience in packaging operations, including a proven track record of implementing and evolving packaging automation.  
  • Strong knowledge of packaging processes, materials, and industry best practices. 
  • Previous experience in leadership and team management roles, ideally in startup or greenfield environments. 
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor complex operational initiatives. 
  • Innovative mindset with the ability to think creatively and strategically. 
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and adaptability to navigate challenges inherent in new ventures. 
  • Effective communication skills to convey ideas, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and report progress.
