Senior Spotfire Developers - Remote Job

We are seeking for a Senior Spotfire Developer with over 10 years of experience in Spotfire to join our talent pool for future vacancies.

The role requires demonstrated experience in developing optimized reports using TIBCO Spotfire, SQL, IronPython, and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop advanced dashboards and reports in Spotfire, optimizing performance and handling large volumes of data to provide interactive visualization solutions that drive decision making.
• Configure and manage Spotfire server architecture and security, ensuring proper administration of permissions, data protection and platform scalability in enterprise environments.
• Automate processes and customize functionality in Spotfire using IronPython, as well as integrate external data sources via SQL and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure (Databricks, Data Factory and DevOps).

Must-Have Skills:

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science, Informational Systems, or similar fields. 
• 10+ years of experience designing and developing optimized reports with Spotfire, SSRS, or similar tools.  
• Understanding of best practices in Spotfire server architecture, configurations, and security settings. 
• Proficient with SQL. 
• Ability to write scripts and utilize programming languages like IronPython for extending Spotfire's functionalities and integrating with external systems. 
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure services such as Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Azure DevOps.  
• Attention to detail. 
• Good interpersonal skills for working with internal clients and project team. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills (discuss requirements, present innovative ideas for improvement, etc.).  
• Self-starter, willing to take accountability for projects, problems, issues.  
• Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.  

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science, Informational Systems, or similar fields. 
• Experience with data science methods related to classification analysis, regression analysis, and clustering analysis. 

This opportunity is for working as an independent contractor in a 100% remote modality. The hiring is done through Bertoni Solutions, but you would work directly with our partner's final client. Here are more details:

• Location: The client is based in the United States, but the position is 100% remote.
• Contract/Project Duration: 12 months, with a possibility of extension based on performance.
• Time Zone and Work Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week), Monday to Friday. A significant overlap with the Pacific Time Zone is required.
• Type of Contract: Independent contractor.
• Equipment: The contractor will use their own laptop/PC.
