Detailed Job Description:
I. Responsibilities:
Test Automation:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for RDK and/or OpenWRT-based broadband devices.
Develop and implement reusable test components and libraries.
Select and implement appropriate test automation frameworks and tools.
Automate functional, regression, performance, and security testing scenarios.
Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
RDK/OpenWRT Expertise:
Possess in-depth knowledge of RDK and/or OpenWRT architecture, components, and functionalities.
Utilize RDK APIs and tools for test automation.
Understand OpenWRT system behaviour and usage to convert manual tests to automated scripts.
Stay updated on the latest RDK/OpenWRT releases and innovations.
General QA:
Analyze test results, identify bugs, and report defects.
Collaborate with developers and product teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Participate in test planning and review activities.
Contribute to the improvement of test automation processes and documentation
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Experience: 7yrs experience in embedded. 3+ years of experience in test automation, preferably in the telecommunications or embedded systems domain.
Technical Skills:
Programming languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.
Test automation frameworks: Automatics, Selenium, Robot Framework, Appium, etc.
RDK and/or OpenWRT: Understanding of architecture, APIs, and tools.
CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Gitlab CI, etc.
Version control systems: Git, SVN, etc.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
