The Opportunity:

Are you passionate about financial data products and eager to make a significant impact? We're looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our dynamic Data Service team! 

Your Mission: Lead the creation of an innovative index marketplace. Design efficient systems, support your teammates, and drive our company's growth ! 

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be accountable for leveraging your vast experience in python software development, stakeholder management and commercial acumen to develop products and solutions for the data age, delivering the new foundations for the next wave of Financial Engineering, Valuations, AI and Machine Learning consumers.   

What you will do:

  • Design, implement, and integrate new functionalities into data-centric applications built as microservices and data pipelines.
  • Build scalable and robust applications in a distributed multi-tenant hybrid cloud architecture.
  • Participate in the full life cycle of user stories, taking requirements from product management and working with QA engineers and end users to qualify your work.
  • Bring innovative ideas and solutions to complex technical problems during team workshops.
  • Review your teammates' code in peer reviews within Git.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps and QA, to solve CI/CD or test automation challenges.
  • Contribute to cross-team innovation by being part of one of our communities of practice.
  • Continuously learn new skills and share your knowledge with others during transversal knowledge transfer sessions.

Who you are:

  • Experience: You have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and integrating new functionalities into data-centric applications built as microservices and data pipelines. You are adept at building scalable and robust applications in a distributed multi-tenant hybrid cloud architecture.
  • Technical Skills: You possess strong technical skills in Python and are comfortable working with Git for peer code reviews
    • You should have a solid understanding of data warehousing concepts.
    • Experience with cloud operations, including designing cross-systems architecture and understanding industry technological trends, is important
    • Proficiency in Python and SQL is mandatory. Additional experience with other programming languages such as Java, C#, and ETL tools is advantageous
  • Collaboration: You are an excellent team player who can work effectively with product management, QA engineers, and end-users to qualify your work. You bring ideas and solutions to complex technical problems during team workshops.
  • Continuous Improvement: You are driven by a desire for continuous improvement, both in terms of driving and delivering quality with efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Teamwork: You are capable of pairing with DevOps or QA resources to solve CI/CD or test automation challenges requiring complex developments
  • Knowledge of financial services, including investment platforms and client-based implementations, is highly beneficial.
