Senior Software Engineer Quality Assurance /Lead Software Engineer Quality Assurance (Security Performance & Observability) – IFS Technology

As our Lead/Senior Software Engineer Quality Assurance, you will join our R&D Platform-Security, Performance & Observability team in Sri Lanka where we strongly believe that working hard and having fun are two compatible elements.

The Platform- Security, Performance & Observability team is responsible for providing support in ensuring that IFS products are built with optimal security measures that adhere to industry standard performance goals while ensuring comprehensive observability to preempt and swiftly mitigate risks.

This role has some specific regular tasks but also has many ad hoc tasks. As a Lead/Senior Software Engineer Quality Assurance in R&D Platform- Security, Performance & Observability team, your primary tasks include but are not limited to:

• Analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to ensure comprehensive understanding.
• Develop and implement testing strategies for both new and existing features.
• Create detailed, well-organized, and thorough test plans and test cases.
• Estimate, plan, prioritize, and execute various testing tasks.
• Design, implement, and execute automation scripts.
• Integrate and execute tests within continuous integration pipelines.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis to enhance test coverage in critical areas.
• Conduct rigorous regression testing to verify bug fixes.
• Foster continuous improvement in automation, continuous integration, and overall processes by adopting industry best practices.
• Expand and advance the QA process and technical knowledge and share insights to guide team members.
• Exhibit leadership, initiative, and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and demonstrate the ability to work independently.

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
• For Senior level: 3+ years of industry experience; for Lead level: 5+ years of industry experience.
• Proven experience in driving Test Automation within Agile development environments, including test design, scripting, and data creation.
• Fundamental knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Understanding of Linux and networking basics.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Basic knowledge of security testing principles.
• Technical proficiency in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
• Experience in performance testing using tools like LoadRunner or JMeter.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git or Bitbucket.
• Strong understanding of QA processes, best practices, testing techniques, and methodologies.
• Emphasis on DevOps and Agile software development practices.
• Experience with enterprise-scale applications.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and work independently.
