Senior Software Engineer (QA)

Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer with a strong background in Java and test automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing a strategy for quality coordination and testing as well as suggesting solutions to identified quality problems. 5-9 years of Automation Testing experience Responsibilities: 1. Develop and maintain automated test scripts to reduce repetition and increase efficiency. 2. Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, and other popular frameworks. 3. Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bamboo). 4. Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved. 5. Collaborate with the Development team to ensure consistent project execution. 6. Identify, record, document, and track bugs to resolution. 7. Perform thorough analysis of specifications and collaborate with the team to ensure comprehensive test coverage. 8. Monitor debugging process results and provide feedback to the development team. 9. Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions. 10. Mentor junior QA engineers and provide guidance on best practices in test automation and quality assurance. Requirements: 1. Proven work experience in software development with a focus on quality assurance. 2. Strong knowledge of Java and its ecosystem. 3. Solid experience with automated testing tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG. 4. Experience with API testing tools like Postman, Rest-Assured. 5. Experience with performance/load testing tools like JMeter or Gatling. 6. Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Bamboo. 7. Experience with version control systems like Git. 8. Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing. 9. Ability to document and troubleshoot errors. 10. Excellent communication skills. 11. Attention to detail. 12. Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude. 13. BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field. Nice to Have: 1. Experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber or JBehave. 2. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. 3. Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes. 4. Familiarity with database testing using SQL or NoSQL databases. 5. ISTQB certification is a plus.
