The Team

We are a team of talented individuals who are passionate about the products we build for our customers. We build and own the delivery of the API’s in GBG’s Documents and Biometrics, API’s that help with document verification and digital trust. The Role

As a Senior Engineer you will contribute to all stages of the software delivery life cycle - from inception of the ideas to delivering our product to production. You will collaborate regularly with members of your own team, as well as those from other teams and communicate your ideas and proposals in a clear fashion.  

What you will do

  • Develop, engineer and integrate software components using the chosen technologies and design patterns. 
  • Collaborate with team leads, product owners, software engineers and stakeholders to define and prioritise technical requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.  
  • Propose innovative solutions to internal stakeholders and if agreed to, do whatever it takes to see it through to the end. 
  • Shape the documentation. 
  • Identify security vulnerabilities and ensure security best practices.  
  • Provide technical support for the systems we develop. 
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex software issues, employing advanced problem-solving techniques to identify and implement effective solutions.  
  • Coach and mentor junior team members supporting their growth and ensuring they have the necessary guidance in their roles.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Excellent knowledge of C# .NET Core and associated technical frameworks. 
  • Deep understanding and proficiency with OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns.  
  • Experience of working in agile/scrum environments and a good understanding of continuous delivery practices.  
  • Experienced in unit testing, mocking, stubbing and test-driven design approaches using xUnit.  
  • Experience in the building and deployment of REST APIs and Microservices. 
  • Must be confident using Git Source Control. 
  • Good communication skills, highly organised and able to manage time effectively with a strong attention to detail. 
  • The ability to maintain a deep knowledge of the latest languages, tools, frameworks and paradigms within the industry.  
  • Experience with AWS, Docker and Kubernetes. 
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD deployment pipelines. 
  • Experience with structured logging, ideally using the ELK stack.
