As a Senior Software Engineer LR within DAZN's Technology & Product Engineering team, DAZN is seeking a talented, Sr LR Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of streaming applications for the LR platform. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in LR development using vanilla TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML5/CSS, with a passion for creating high-quality, engaging streaming experiences for users. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative streaming solutions.
This role is full-time, based in our Hyderabad, India office, 5 days a week WFO.

Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a JavaScript Developer, at least with 5 commercial projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, and maintain our front-end platform that must be flexible, adaptive, and stable.
- Optimize front-end performance and reliability with best practices and industry-standard methodologies.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers, back-end engineers, and product managers, to deliver exceptional user experiences.
- Learn and share expertise with colleagues and the wider industry, driving innovation within DAZN.
Skillset:
- Professional experience in front-end development in general, good knowledge of browsers.
- Strong experience with vanilla TS/JS, HTML5/CSS and knowledge of modern UI frameworks (e.g., React).
- Experience in cross-platform development (TV/STB/gaming consoles).
- Solid understanding and love for various test techniques and frameworks: unit, integration, E2E.
- Strive for performance, stability, and cross-platform compatibility.
- Understand and use build tools, CI/CD.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work without guidance in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
- Intermediate English. Be able to communicate and collaborate in a clear, open, and healthy way.
- In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, ideally with any modern framework.
- Ability to deliver efficient code and analyze performance.
- Willingness to do on-device development. Not always but often, you will also have to test your code on an actual device, like a PS5.
- Experience with cloud computing services and distributed applications (preferably AWS).
- Willingness to explore per devices SDKs, either via specific documentation, per-platform debugging or communication with external partner.
- Experience with BDD and TDD.
- Good knowledge of software design patterns.
- Experience with Git.
- JavaScript or HTML5 development experience on TV’s, set top boxes, game consoles.
- Expertise with specific TV or game console SDKs: webOS, Tizen, PlayStation etc. Knowledge about STB / HWA development in general.
