- Design, implement, and maintain Java applications that are often high-volume and low-latency, required for mission-critical systems
- Deliver high availability and performance
- Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
- Write well-designed, efficient, and testable code
- Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging
- 5+ years of experience in JAVA programming
- 3+ years of experience working with high-availability, high-performance, scalable systems
- Strong OOP skills and knowledge of design patterns
- Knowledge of Unit Testing and Test Driven Development
- Experience with the following: Java/J2EE API's, JDBC, JMX, RMI, JAXP and generic XML API's
- Experience with development frameworks: Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Hibernate, Spring JDBC
- Nice to have experience with recommender systems and/or search engines
