Working in the tech team at Doctolib involves building innovative products and features to improve the daily lives of care teams and patients. We work in feature teams in an agile environment, while collaborating with engineering, design, and business teams.
What you’ll do
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join Doctolib's Identity team in our Platform Engineering domain.
You will work on our most significant security initiative, which involves shipping a modernized scalable authentication system used by our 100 million users. You will play a key role in defining and delivering this critical component, which must sustain large traffic with low latency and high availability.
As a Senior Software Engineer, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Collaborating with Feature teams: You will work closely with our Feature teams, ensuring that the platform aligns with the needs and requirements of our developers.

Driving improvements: You will continuously evaluate new technologies and processes, striving for enhancements, and implementing them as necessary to optimize our development practices.

Defining best practices: You will be responsible for defining best practices, known as "golden paths," for software development and deployment. This includes automation, testing, and security measures, in collaboration with our SREs, Security teams, and other domain experts.

Developing and maintaining tools and services: You will create and maintain tools and services that facilitate the implementation of best practices. These resources will assist developers in building and deploying applications more efficiently.

Ensuring reliability, scalability, traceability, and monitoring: You will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, traceability, and monitoring of our platform and services.

Collaborating on roadmap delivery: You will actively contribute to the delivery of roadmap items, working closely with the rest of the team to achieve our collective goals.
Who you are

- You have at least 5+ years of software engineering experience, including experience with Ruby and/or Java
- You are proactive, curious, collaborative and eager to learn
- You have a good understanding of authentication/authorization protocols (OAuth2.0, OIDC).
- You're familiar with identity and access management solutions like Keycloak.
- You have a “user first” mindset and want to build a product focused on bringing value to its users, through secure, well-tested and pragmatic code
- You are very focused on code quality and have a rigorous testing culture
- You are eager to share your knowledge and help the team grow by pair programming and mentoring.
