Overview

The Engineering Team employs some of the top engineering talent who are constantly working to improve on processes, quality and techniques, with the goal of producing the highest quality software solutions in the industry. The lines between traditional QA and software engineering are blurred here, with quality being considered at all stages of development.

We favor a Lean approach to our product development, following agile workflows such as Scrum and Kanban depending on the directive of the team.   • Participate in on-call rotation to support the “you build it you own it” mantra
  • Primary technologies
    • Experience building, maintaining, and debugging AWS services (Lambda, DynamoDB, Kinesis, S3, OpenSearch and others)
    • Typescript/JavaScript, Node.js
    • Understanding of RESTful API services
    • Solid understanding on CI/CD tools/pipelines
    • Ability to develop robust and secure code
    • SOAP/REST web service APIs
    • Redis, NoSQL
    • Angular, React
  • Secondary technologies
    • Understanding of event-driven serverless development concepts
    • Solid understanding on CI/CD tools/pipelines
    • Ability to develop robust and secure code
    • Rust
    • PHP
    • Understanding of event-driven serverless development concepts
    • Experience with other cloud technologies
    • Experience scaling applications in AWS
    • Strong troubleshooting and optimization skills

 

Qualifications 

Minimum Qualifications  

  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience developing in JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Experience developing web applications, working with databases, and consuming APIs
  • Understanding of relevant software development tools including version control, build processes and test frameworks
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with cloud computing infrastructures such as AWS or Azure
  • Use of source code repositories such as Azure DevOps and Git
  • Experience working with NoSQL databases
  • Performance tuning and optimization for high scale systems
  • Experience working with development teams in multiple time zones
  • Proven track record of creating secure and scalable software that scales to dozens or hundreds of servers in a distributed, fault tolerant manner
  • Experience with e-commerce, retail, online marketplaces, or digital advertising
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to work in a rapidly changing environment with keen attention to detail
