Job description
What are we looking for? Your primary role will be Java backend development, but you are also excited to try new technologies and different ways of working. You will work in full stack engineering teams to build out delightful features and experiences for our customers. Our tech stack continues to constantly evolve and leans heavily on modern frameworks. We require an Engineer who is highly skilled in: Java 11+, Spring, Spring Boot Unit Testing e.g. JUnit, Groovy Microservices architecture Object-Oriented Programming principles Hands on experience on Python Comfortable working with docker containers and container orchestrators such as Kubernetes and AWS EKS Writing clean, efficient, well-tested code. Test-driven development is a bonus Developing and using Web services and RESTful APIs Working knowledge on some of the AWS services like S3, lambda, step functions Good problem-solving abilities and ability to quickly learn a new technology and start working on that technology Basic knowledge of AWS Networking. Familiarity with code repositories & source code control systems such as bitbucket, GIT You would be joining an agile delivery team which continues to refine their own processes and ways of working. You will find it easiest to understand the way we work if you have worked using agile delivery methods in the past. Does this sound like you? Interested in finding out more? Run AWS Batch containers using Fargate/ECS. AWS Postgres RDS, AWS Dynamodb & Oracle db. Messaging systems such as Kafka API gateway platforms Splunk, ELK, Dynatrace
