The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer on the DevX team, you will design and scale the tools and infrastructure that support our engineering teams. Your work will directly enhance the efficiency and productivity of developers across the organization.
What you will do:
- Build Developer Tools: Create tools that improve developer efficiency, such as CI/CD automation, monitoring dashboards, and local development environments.
- Improve Workflows: Streamline workflows by developing self-service portals, refining onboarding processes, and automating manual tasks.
- Optimize CI/CD Pipelines: Own and enhance our continuous integration and deployment pipelines' design, implementation, and performance.
- System Design & Automation: Build scalable systems for fast, secure, and automated deployments, while automating repetitive tasks.
- Collaboration: Partner with engineering teams to identify pain points and deliver tailored solutions that enable faster, more reliable code delivery.
- Mentorship: Lead by example, guide junior engineers, and promote a culture of knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement.
Who We’re Looking For
Required Skills:
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on backend, infrastructure, or developer tools.
- Strong coding and technical skills with expertise in building scalable systems, particularly in Node.js, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, Argo CD, Argo Workflow, GitHub action, or similar.
- Problem-solving skills to tackle complex technical challenges and design scalable solutions.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- A proactive mindset with a high sense of ownership.
Nice to Have:
- Proficiency in Python and React (or other frontend frameworks).
- Experience with SDK tools for developers.
- Familiarity with Micro Frontend.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and tools like Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and Helm.
