Senior Social Media Manager

Navan is seeking a highly skilled Senior Social Media Manager to join our Corporate Communications team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing our social media strategies across various platforms. You will partner with external vendors to increase our online presence and improve our marketing and sales efforts. As the Senior Social Media Manager, you will drive engagement by creating high-quality original content, manage our community by responding to comments, and oversee our customer service across all platforms. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in creating engaging social media content, building a social media team, and driving brand awareness and engagement through social media channels.

What You’ll Do:

  • Create and curate high-quality, engaging content for our social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.) that aligns with our brand voice and values
  • Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and drive traffic to our website
  • Define social media KPIs
  • Manage and oversee social media content
  • Analyze social media metrics and analytics to measure the effectiveness of social media campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly
  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends, tools, and best practices to continually improve our social media strategies and tactics
  • Use social media marketing tools 
  • Attend conferences and events to create “man-on-the-street” content 
  • Work with copywriters and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Performance Marketing, Sales, and Product Development teams to align social media efforts with broader business goals and initiatives
  • Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization
  • Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network
  • Share results & insights with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Create Social Media Calendar
  • Engage with other social media channels via repost, comments and quotes
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all social media-related inquiries and communications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in social media management, with a track record of successful social media campaigns
  • Prior experience in social media strategy development to build brand awareness and impressions
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Youtube, Google+, and other social media best practices
  • Knowledge of SEO, paid social media advertising, and email marketing is a plus
  • Experience with doing audience and buyer persona research
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret KPIs and social media metrics and adjust strategies accordingly
  • Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g. Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social), analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, social media insights), and content creation tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Great leadership skills
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Possesses emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills with the ability to create engaging social media content
  • Experience managing a team of social media specialists and leading social media campaigns across multiple platforms
  • Ideal candidate will be based in the Bay Area and able to go into the office 3 days per week 

The posted pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the compensation for this position and is subject to change based on business need. To determine a successful candidate’s starting pay, we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location, an evaluation of the candidate’s skills and experience, market demands, and internal parity.

For roles with on-target-earnings (OTE), the pay range includes both base salary and target incentive compensation. Target incentive compensation for some roles may include a ramping draw period. Compensation is higher for those who exceed targets. Candidates may receive more information from the recruiter.
