Senior Snowflake Administrator - Remote Job

We are seeking a Senior Snowflake Administrator with over 8 years of experience in Snowflake. The role involves a thorough understanding of Snowflake database objects, including databases, views, tables, streams, tasks, and more. The consultant will collaborate with the client's IT teams to establish an automated, repeatable testing process. This process will replicate the production AWS/Snowflake environment to a Proof of Concept (PoC) environment for integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT). A primary focus will be on testing the application of Snowflake Bundle Patches and assessing the impacts on HVR Replications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up automated testing processes for AWS/Snowflake environments.
  • Work with client teams to ensure smooth integration and UAT.
  • Manage Snowflake database objects (DBs, views, tables, streams, tasks, etc.).
  • Implement Snowflake Bundle Patches and assess impacts on data replication (HVR).

Must-Have Skills:

  • Extensive experience (8 years) in Snowflake administration (accounts, roles, provisioning, and organization). (3+ years with Snowflake is fine, but the client would still prefer 8+ years total experience)
  • Expertise in Snowflake Account/Data Replication.
  • CI/CD automation using GitHub.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for setting up stored procedures.
  • Advanced written and spoken English (B2-C1/C2)

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with AWS and HVR.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake Bundle Patches.

This opportunity is for working as an independent contractor in a 100% remote modality. The hiring is done through Bertoni Solutions, but you would work directly with our partner's final client. Here are more details:

  • Location: The client is based in the United States, but the position is 100% remote.
  • Contract/Project Duration: 6 months, with a possibility of extension based on performance.
  • Time Zone and Work Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week), Monday to Friday. A significant overlap with the Pacific Time Zone is required.
  • Type of Contract: Independent contractor.
  • Equipment: The contractor will use their own laptop/PC.
