Weatherford is hiring a Senior Shop Operations Manager for our Huntsville Texas facility. The Senior Shop Operations Manager will be working within a supportive, inclusive team in a fast-paced, progressive environment. Formulates and recommends manufacturing policies and programs which guide Weatherford in maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the operation. Directs and coordinates these activities so that approved products are manufactured on schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives. Meet or exceed budget requirements. Achieve objectives established for personal and departmental accomplishments.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (not listed in any particular order)
- Directs Weatherford’s manufacturing, production, or operating activities toward the accomplishment of corporate objectives.
- Develops and recommends Weatherford manufacturing policy, and establishes manufacturing department operating policy.
- Defines and recommends manufacturing objectives; develops specific short and long range plans and programs together with supporting budget requests.
- Directs the manufacture of all Weatherford products at lowest cost consistent with established specifications as to quality and quantity.
- Supervises installation and maintenance of all processing equipment used in manufacturing.
- Directs preparation of cost control reports, cost estimates and manpower and facilities requirements forecasts and budget.
- Assists in the preparation of specifications for purchase as to quality, quantity, delivery and service required for purchase of plant equipment, supplies and materials to meet production schedules and quality standards.
- Set up and maintain operating inventory controls and levels to conform with budgets and forecasts.
- Coordinates and collaborates with other departments in establishing and carrying out responsibilities.
- Formulates and installs standard manufacturing practices bases on comparative studies of methods, costs and production figures.
- Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
- Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
- Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
- Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
- Must have experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint & ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Should have good communication and organizational skills.
- Manager and supervisor and mentoring training experience.
- Must have supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment of at least 25+ FTE's
- 10+ years manufacturing management experience
Preferrred:
- JDE experience
- AutoCAD experience
- Knowledge of welding, machining and assembly technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree
