Senior ServiceNow Developer - SPM

Windward is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) Implementation Specialist to lead complex implementations for both government and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical expertise and exceptional customer-facing skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end ServiceNow SPM implementation projects for diverse clients
  • Design and develop custom solutions within the ServiceNow platform, focusing on SPM modules
  • Conduct workshops with clients to articulate the value of SPM solutions
  • Provide expert-level support and technical mentoring to internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage platform and infrastructure to ensure smooth operation of Project and Portfolio Management processes and Strategic Portfolio Management processes
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., FedRAMP, DoD IL-4/IL-5)
  • Collaborate with functional teams and lead technical solution design sessions
  • Contribute to process improvement and documentation
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, bug fixes, and root cause analysis

 

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Active Secret clearance preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of IT software consulting experience, with 3-5 years specifically in ServiceNow implementations
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting
  • In-depth knowledge of Project and Portfolio Management and Strategic Portfolio Management concepts and best practices
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience in implementing ServiceNow SPM for enterprise clients
  • Expertise in software discovery, normalization, reconciliation, and optimization processes
Required Certifications
  • Certified Implementation Specialist – Strategic Portfolio Management (CIS-SPM)
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
Preferred Qualifications
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer Certification
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • ICAgile or equivalent Agile certification
  • Experience with government contracts and implementations
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid development methodologies
  • ITIL v3 or v4 Certification
  • Additional ServiceNow certifications in areas such as ITOM, SecOps, GRC, or ITSM
