ULTRA MOBILE is seeking a talented Senior Scum Master to join the Product & PMO Team! Individual reports to Senior Manager, Scrum Delivery. Role is remote - must reside in the United States.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Your usual day of awesomeness includes:
- Lead team members in the completion of the team and company goals, maintaining the vision and values of the company that brings them closer to the achievement of those goals.
- Facilitate agile onboarding sessions for 2 agile teams and provide guidance during the initial stages of agile adoption.
- Ensure teams’ adherence to Scrum practices, ceremonies, and artifacts, while tailoring them to fit the organization’s needs.
- Maintain and promote a safe work environment ensuring direct reports follow regulations and workplace laws and guidelines.
- Utilize agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Slack, etc) to facilitate transparency, collaboration, and work item tracking.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in agile methodologies, incorporating them into the teams’ processes when appropriate.
- Champion the adoption of a mentoring culture within the Scrum Master team, guiding and supporting team members in their professional growth and skill development. Take a proactive role in identifying opportunities for mentoring and providing guidance, helping them enhance their understanding of agile principles, strengthen collaboration, and excel in their respective roles.
- Possess competency to serve as Release Train Engineer (RTE), coordinating and facilitating the execution of value stream deliverables and achieving program objectives.
- Facilitate program-level ceremonies and events (e.g., Discovery Team sync, Scrum of Scrums, System-level demos and reviews), promoting collaboration, coordination, and alignment among discovery teams and agile teams.
- Facilitate quarterly performance reviews to assess scrum team agile practices and process adoption and provide feedback to guide team members on consistent improvement.
- Organize and facilitate Scrum and/or KanBan ceremonies to foster open communication and knowledge sharing to address dependencies and promote a culture of collective ownership.
- Communicate with all teams and Stakeholders regarding project and team statuses.
- Guide, coach, and motivate the teams with the goal of increasing productivity.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners to maintain a high-quality and prioritized backlog, guiding refinement, prioritization, and proactive issue resolution to maximize value delivery.
- Monitor schedule and performance.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying and removing impediments, fostering a culture of self-organization and high performance, and ensuring productive and uninterrupted workflow.
- Oversee and manage scope, timeline, quality, goals, and deliverables that support the business goals.
- Strive for, maintain, and further develop excellence in processes and services, proactively manage escalations, and drive the change control process.
- Provide performance feedback to management and team members.
- Conduct workshops, training sessions, and one-on-one coaching to promote understanding and application of agile values and principles.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Minimum 5 years of experience working as a Scrum Master in an agile development environment.
- Possess relevant agile and project management certifications. (CSM, A-CSM, PSPO, Scaled Agile, SAFe, and/or LesS)
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Great skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
- A sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Must work effectively with cross-functional teams to align strategies, activities, and timing.
- Achieves on-time, budget, and scope deliverables results.
- Understanding of how Scrum masters and project managers complement and collaborate to ensure timely delivery of projects and increased throughput.
- Experience with fast-paced business-to-consumer web application development.
- Strong interpersonal skills, leadership skills, problem-solving skills.

In support of the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the range of starting pay for this role is $135,000 - $145,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, certifications, responsibility, and geographic location.
