We’re looking for a Senior Scrum Master to join our team at Augmenta. You will own and be responsible for the Scrum practices at Augmenta. You will work with multiple inter-disciplinary Scrum teams, some of whom have no formal training with Agile methodologies. Mentoring and empowering the squads will be a major starting point. You must be comfortable working in an environment with a complicated product, which requires significant investments into R&D. This role reports to the VP of Engineering.

  • Identify any blockers or other obstacles that may be hindering the teams’ progress and address them as quickly as possible
  • Promote and advocate for Agile practices and adapt them to each individual squad
  • Track and monitor the teams’ progress and performance metrics, socializing those along with team status to stakeholders
  • Create and maintain detailed reports on the progress of the squad and individual team members to aid in long-term planning
  • Focus on continuous improvement, utilize squad Retrospectives to reflect on the performance of the past sprint and identify areas for improvement, take ownership and ensure action is taken
  • Act as a buffer between engineering and the rest of the organization, shielding the team from unnecessary external pressures
  • Collaborate closely with the Product team to understand the short and long term goals and to ensure that the backlog is in healthy shape
  • Create and foster a positive team environment, building trust and respect within each squad, champion and support open communication with constructive feedback

About You

  • Scrum certified (SCSM) with strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and their best practices
  • Adept at time and productivity management, ensuring all scrum ceremonies remain productive and timely
  • Able to create detailed reports on the progress of the squad and individual squad members to be presented to upper management on a regular cadence
  • Excels at quickly building relationships and establishing trust with each squad and the rest of the organization
