Summary:

The Senior Salesforce Administrator / Business Analyst is responsible for managing and optimizing the Salesforce platform to support smooth business operations and improve data-driven decision-making across Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success. This role involves working closely with these cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and implementing solutions that enhance business performance. A successful candidate will have a strong background in Salesforce and best practices, strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of business operations, and the ability to communicate insights to stakeholders at all levels. This position reports to the VP of Revenue Operations, is based in our Boston office, and requires on-site work, with a hybrid schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration: Partner with business stakeholders in Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to proactively identify, drive, and build improvements and scalable system solutions  that solve business needs.
  • Salesforce Administration: Manage user setup, profiles, roles, permissions, customization of objects, fields, record types, page layouts, Flows, workflows, process builder, and other Salesforce configurations.
  • System Integration: Work closely with stakeholders to implement and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other business systems, ensuring data accuracy and consistency. This includes Gong, Outreach, Sales Navigator, and HubSpot.
  • Data Management and Quality: Perform data imports, exports, data cleansing, and data quality assessments to maintain data integrity within Salesforce. Manage duplicate Leads, Contacts, and Accounts, and perform mass uploads and updates of data as required. Remove unnecessary fields and data, ensuring screens, fields and workflow have accurate names and reflect current workflow
  • Continuous Improvement: Work to improve existing Salesforce infrastructure and implement  new features and functionality according to best practices. Use data and results to proactively seek out opportunities for improvement and enhancement of our current systems and processes.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Partner with the business stakeholders to develop and maintain reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights and support decision-making processes and forecasting. Create audited, official source-of-truth reporting for business performance, and remove outdated reports.
  • Project Management and Documentation: Lead Salesforce projects end-to-end with full ownership of the project, working with the relevant teams to develop clear definitions and design requirements, then on to implementation, testing, and release to production, always keeping the relevant teams in the loop. Create and maintain system documentation, including process flows, technical specifications, and training materials.
  • Other System Administration: Perform basic administration responsibilities for key GTM systems (Gong, Outreach) like user management, troubleshooting, and configuration as aligned with GTM needs.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years experience as a Salesforce Administrator
  • Salesforce Administrator certification (ADM 201) is required; additional certifications such as Advanced Administrator (ADM 301) are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge and experience around Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud features
  • Experience with Salesforce integrations, APIs, and other GTM tech stack software - Gong, Outreach, and HubSpot preferred
  • Expertise in translating business requirements into technical/software requirements, process modeling, and data mapping
  • Hands-on writing Salesforce Validation, Workflow and Flows.
  • Excellent analytical, and technical aptitude and ability to solve problems
  • Excellent time management and organization skills with an ability to work on multiple tasks in parallel
  • Detail-oriented and self-starter with strong written and interpersonal skills
  • Comfort in a fast-paced, quickly evolving environment
