We are looking for an organized, motivated and detail-oriented person to join the Product Management Customs technology team to lead Customs filing products. As part of the Customs team, you will lead projects that structure, manage and automate import entry filing work that Flexport offers to our brokers and the outcome of those filings to our clients, aiming to deepen our relationship with those clients.
The ideal candidate brings strong business acumen and curiosity to a complex domain and strives to make the most intelligent and cost efficient products ever built in the industry. As Product Manager, you will drive alignment across a complex landscape with Engineering teams, deep dive with our Operations team, and be open to learn from industry veterans. You will have the chance to work on products that are both zero to one and maturing with thousands of clients and critical internal users. You will get a chance to help shape the future of Flexport.
You will:
- Execute on a user-first product vision for improving our Customs filing software to be optimized for cost while remaining compliant and timely
- Build a strategic vision for customs automation, and work backwards from this vision to create short and long-term roadmaps
- Become a domain expert, deeply understanding the market and competitive landscape to solve real problems with technology
- Develop products that reduce the cognitive load on the user, and are simple and effective
- Dive into the data, developing meaningful business objectives and metrics to measure your team’s progress
- Establish and continuously improve Flexport’s product processes
- Learn to work with and balance the needs of a diverse set of stakeholders
You should have:
- ≥ 4 years of experience as a SaaS/Software Product Manager, preferably within both startup and complex environment
- Experience in B2B products
- Experience in supply chain/logistics in a big plus
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle and ability to relentlessly prioritize and focus on key deliverables
- Experience crafting long term vision and quarterly roadmaps from market insights and customer research
- Ability to contribute to a highly complex set of products in a rapidly changing domain
- Business acumen with curiosity to learn and become an expert on a complex product
