What you will be doing:

  • Write high-quality code.
  • Implement projects considering quality, maintainability, performance, scale, and observability throughout the development process.
  • Lead the back-end portion of projects from concept to release within a product engineering pod targeting a company goal.
  • Be a steward of quality, scalability, security, and performance.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to engineering processes, tools, and procedures.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration and learning across engineering, product, and design via mentoring, documentation, presentations, or other knowledge-sharing methods.

You are a good match if you have:

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Main Technology: Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails.
  • Fullstack Knowledge: Some experience with JavaScript/ReactJS
  • API Integration: Experience integrating third-party APIs, with a focus on authentication.
  • Database Management: Solid understanding and experience with SQL, Postgres, and MySQL. Ability to manage, query, and maintain databases (mandatory).
  • Version Control: Proficiency with version control systems, especially Git.
  • Enthusiasm: Looking for proactive teammates ready to build and improve how we develop.
  • Backend Systems: Passion for working on complex backend systems.

  • Nice to Have:
  • Experience with CIAM, SSO, SAML, MFA, and Federation concepts (authentication-related).
  • Experience working with payment systems like Braintree, Adyen, or Stripe
