What you will be doing:
- Write high-quality code.
- Implement projects considering quality, maintainability, performance, scale, and observability throughout the development process.
- Lead the back-end portion of projects from concept to release within a product engineering pod targeting a company goal.
- Be a steward of quality, scalability, security, and performance.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to engineering processes, tools, and procedures.
- Promote a culture of collaboration and learning across engineering, product, and design via mentoring, documentation, presentations, or other knowledge-sharing methods.
You are a good match if you have:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Main Technology: Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails.
- Fullstack Knowledge: Some experience with JavaScript/ReactJS
- API Integration: Experience integrating third-party APIs, with a focus on authentication.
- Database Management: Solid understanding and experience with SQL, Postgres, and MySQL. Ability to manage, query, and maintain databases (mandatory).
- Version Control: Proficiency with version control systems, especially Git.
- Enthusiasm: Looking for proactive teammates ready to build and improve how we develop.
- Backend Systems: Passion for working on complex backend systems.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with CIAM, SSO, SAML, MFA, and Federation concepts (authentication-related).
- Experience working with payment systems like Braintree, Adyen, or Stripe
