- Develop efficient algorithms and architectures to address ingest and real-time processing of massive amounts of data, for example, for anomaly detection
- Bridge academic research and commercial technology development: Collaborate with our development teams and other internal and external stakeholders
- Actively take part in scientific and industrial cooperation projects

MSc or PhD in Computer Science or a related field
- Strong interest in performance and resource optimization as well as in algorithm development for indexing, pattern matching, sketching, query optimization
- Experience with real-world projects in the area of big data processing (see research field above)
- 5+ years of experience in Java development, including architectural design
- Experience with Kafka, Spark, Lucene, or related technologies
- Familiarity with test-driven development, clean code and design patterns
- Enjoying passing on knowledge and experience to fellow team members
- Excited to learn new technologies
- Excellent English skills (oral and written)
