The Red Gate Group is seeking an accomplished Senior Research Specialist IV to support the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment (USD(A&S)) in Arlington, VA. This critical role involves providing high-level expertise to advance strategic initiatives and ensure operational success across diverse and complex areas, including acquisition systems, logistics, research and development, environmental and nuclear security, and more. As a trusted advisor, you will collaborate closely with senior leadership to shape policies and processes that underpin national defense priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized guidance on DoD policy, product support, and logistics to support USD(A&S) objectives.
- Lead and manage multiple high-complexity projects, offering technical expertise and ensuring successful outcomes.
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis to inform decision-making on acquisition systems, advanced technology, and operational energy programs.
- Collaborate with executive-level stakeholders to address challenges, streamline processes, and achieve mission-critical goals.
- Deliver tailored solutions that align with the DoD’s overarching strategies and operational mandates.
- Maintain the highest levels of customer service by demonstrating initiative, sound judgment, and innovative thinking.
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining focus on delivering high-quality results.

Security Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI required.

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (Master’s degree preferred).

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of specialized experience in DoD policy, product support, and logistics. Experience providing executive-level support and working within DoD or other federal agencies is required.

Expertise: Proven ability to lead and manage high-complexity projects, providing technical guidance and driving mission success.
