We are seeking a Senior Research Executive who has some background in primary and/or secondary research, has a strong foundation in technical expertise and project management, demonstrates aptitude for problem solving, as well as eagerness to extend their research expertise. Working with a senior person from the team, this role is responsible for the project management and delivery of custom market research studies with a focus on quantitative and qualitative methodologies, from proposal writing through final study deliverables and the day-to-day vendor management that the projects require.
The Role of Research Executive:
- Support research team on various projects while assisting with development and execution of research studies, project scoping, costing and budget management.
- Play a role in primary/secondary research projects under the guidance of seniors and the support from the wider team across Asia Pacific – develop research design, sampling plans, questionnaires, moderator guides, tab and banner plans, coding framework, and analytical plans.
- Contribute to primary/secondary research projects and acquire new research skills through both on-on-job and formal trainings.
- Manage external suppliers to ensure data quality and timely delivery of research output.
- Interpret and analyse research data and insights to create a compelling story that meets project and research objectives.
- Create general reports and presentations, which includes data entry, chart/table creation, and analysis in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Support new business efforts by working closely with senior leadership to identify opportunities that expand on client engagements, developing cases studies and participating in desk side research to inform proposals.
- Participate and contribute in meetings with Edelman partners and/or external clients
The ideal profile:
- At least 1 to 2 years of experience in research.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – with strong Excel, Word processing and PowerPoint presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise/manage multiple deadlines within a project scope and budget
- Pursuit of excellence and attentiveness to detail that translate in flawless deliverables and data accuracy through entire project.
- Strong interpersonal, organisational, written and oral communications skills.
- Great sense of ownership and enjoy taking initiatives, innovating and challenging the status quo.
- With a ‘can do’ attitude and a ‘team player’ who is willing to help colleagues whenever necessary.
- Curiosity to know and understand complex business challenges and apply various research approaches
- Understanding of client management
