ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Research Assistant with demonstrated cell and molecular biology lab experience to join the Product Development team. The Senior Research Assistant will collaborate with a diverse team of scientists and engineers to develop and perform novel in-vitro experiments to biological assays to test electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS). The Senior Research Assistant is a hands-on, laboratory-based role that will be responsible for helping to biologically characterize internal products and novel prototypes. We are looking for a Senior Research Assistant who is flexible, can work independently, and can respond quickly and enthusiastically to challenges and change.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop new methodologies for biologically characterizing electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS) products
- Perform routine biological characterization of liquids and aerosols to support product development
- Perform routine equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration activities
- Write, execute, and update SOPs
- Maintain a record of results
- Present reports on experimental results
PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS with 1-3 years of hands-on experience or MS with 0-2 hands-on lab experience
- Demonstrated experience in a laboratory setting to include basic laboratory procedures such asweighing, quantitative transfer, and volumetric dilutions required
- Hands-on experience in aseptic mammalian cell-culture techniques required
- Experience with plate-based assays (fluorescence, luminescence, and/or absorbance) a plus
- Experience with flow cytometry a plus
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office & statistical software (e.g., Graphpad Prism) and plus
- Self-motivated with strong communication skills
- Excellent data management
EDUCATION:
- BS/MS in Biology, Biochemistry, Cell/Molecular Biology, Neuroscience, or related field.

SALARY RANGES:
Salary varies by role, level and location, and is dependent on the cost of labor in a given geographic region among other factors. These ranges may be modified at any time.
