Expectations
Research
- Conduct research initiatives, leading critical aspects such as design and delivery, and ensuring alignment with business goals;
- Define research objectives, methodologies, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with the Research Analytics Team and stakeholders;
- Drive collaboration and communication among team members to achieve project milestones and deliverables;
- Develop data-driven hypotheses and design experiments to test them, contributing to the company’s understanding of key business drivers;
- Explore and apply new data sources, tools, and methodologies to improve the team’s research capabilities.
Business Impact
- Apply your fresh perspective, curiosity, and analytical thinking to uncover new research opportunities that contribute to the business’s success;
- Translate research findings into clear, actionable insights and prescribe recommendations that influence strategic decision-making;
- Partner with stakeholders to implement research-driven solutions and track KPIs to measure their impact.
Technical
- Serve as a key technical resource within the Research Analytics team, sharing knowledge and best practices;
- Stay updated on emerging trends in analytics and research, and share insights with the team to foster a culture of continuous learning;
- Contribute to the improvement of team processes and methodologies, ensuring the delivery of high-quality research outputs.
Requirements
Research Expertise
- 5+ years of experience as a research analyst or in a similar analytical role;
- Track record of delivering research projects with significant, measurable business outcomes;
- Experience formulating hypotheses and designing experiments, including T-tests, Chi-Square, ANOVA, A/B testing, matched pairs, etc;
- Skilled in analyzing and generating insights from diverse data sets, such as transactional data, survey data, and unstructured text data. Familiarity with industry-specific data sources and APIs is a plus.
Analytical Rigor
- Proficiency in SQL and Python or R for data extraction, transformation, cleaning, and analysis;
- Experience conducting Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to identify patterns and anomalies within large datasets;
- Strong knowledge of statistical methods and the ability to apply them effectively, including regression, time series, non-parametric analysis, clustering, Bayesian inference, etc.
Communication and Stakeholder Management
- Ability to synthesize research findings and craft compelling narratives;
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences;
- Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, earning their trust through frequent communication and consistently high-quality deliverables.
