Senior Repair Technician

Based: High Wycombe 
Term: Permanent, Full time
Salary: Dependant on experience + excellent benefits

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced service technician to join the in-house Service Department. Working in a close team, this role comprises of repairs focusing on our Legacy products, supporting team development, communicating with customers and helping our world-wide service network serve our global customer base.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Repair and test Focusrite, Focusrite Pro and Novation products, prioritising any non-warranty and Legacy product ranges. 
  • Diagnose, fault find and repair products to component level. 
  • Ensuring effective turnaround of products through the department. 
  • Support the Service team through mentoring and documenting technical knowledge. 
  • Liaising with engineers and manufacturing in a closed-loop feedback system to improve product reliability. 
  • Assisting our customers and external service partners with remote diagnosis and repair advice via email and telephone. 

Abilities, skills, and experience required:

  • At least 5 years electronics repair and servicing experience. 
  • Debug and repairing analogue audio products and synthesisers to component level. 
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics. 
  • Previous experience mentoring or providing training to colleagues. 
  • Collaborative personality and works well as part of a team. 
  • Positive attitude and enthusiastic outlook. 
  • Good organisational and communication skills. 
  • A polite and helpful phone and email manner. 
  • Experience with Windows and MacOS systems. 

Desirable:

  • Interest in music/audio and experience with music technology products and digital audio workstations.
  • Detail focussed, and able to identify trends.
  • Self-motivated and able to prioritise and manage own workload.
  • Experience using ERP software and completing admin tasks such as cost estimates.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
