Our engineering department consists of 200+ people across multiple teams, such as application development, infrastructure, data platform, machine learning, and security. To get there, we obsess over iteratively delivering customer value through rapid prototyping and data-driven decision-making.
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Release Engineer to join our App Platform team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, Argo CD, CircleCI, and monitoring tools like DataDog. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
Why Attentive needs you
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using CircleCI and other relevant tools
- Design, implement and maintain release automation, canaries, automated rollbacks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure CI/CD and release requirements and dependencies are identified and addressed
About you
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Release, Infrastructure or similar role
- Experience with CI/CD tooling such as CircleCI, GitLab, Jenkins, etc
- Demonstrated experience at running applications in production with demanding scalability or availability requirements
- Experienced with container orchestration and Infrastructure as Code, such as Kubernetes, Helm and Terraform
- Demonstrated experience communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to execute cultural changes alongside technical advancements
- Demonstrated experience leading projects and/or teams towards strategic goals, engaging in effective planning, and executing decisive prioritization of efforts and resources

- 8,000 brands powered by Attentive sent over 2.2 billion text messages over Cyber Week 2023 (Black Friday/Cyber Monday) representing a growth of 31% from 2022
- We sent 32 billion SMS messages in 2023, up 32% YoY. That’s an average of 87 million per day
- Our production cluster contains over 18,000 containers which serve 200+ services
- Our streaming services process over 80 billion events per month
What we use
- We use a wide variety of technology and we’re always looking for the best solutions to solve hard problems
- Our backend is Java / Spring Boot microservices, built with Gradle, coupled with things like DynamoDB, Pulsar, AirFlow, Postgres, Planetscale, and Redis, hosted via AWS
- Our frontend is built with React and TypeScript, and uses best practices like GraphQL, Storybook, Radix UI, Vite, esbuild, and Playwright

- The US base salary range for this full-time position is $146,400 - $219,600 (Senior Software Engineer) annually + equity + benefits
