Senior regional manager - East Region China

Job purpose: Senior Regional sale manager will be working in our commercial team, which has a goal to achieve our regional business objectives including sustaining strong business growth,  improving customer satisfaction, building and maintaining key accounts relationship.  This position will be based in the Shanghai and will report into China senior sales director .

In this role, you will be responsible for not only day to day management of our internal (Account manager and channel manager) and external(distributors) sale force to deliver plans for goals achievement, but also taking the ownership to design/propose appropriate evolving path for region for future growth, by utilizing market insights, customer insights and competitor insights, then lead the team to execute the plan.

 

Role responsibilities:

  • Senior Regional Sales Manager is accountable for the achievement of the region’s assigned targets for profitable sales revenue and achievement of China overall objectives.
  • They will formulate regional vision and strategy and oversees their adoption through the region, hence, forming the region’s working culture.
  • In their leadership position, Regional Sales Manager plays a mentorship role to key personnel, assisting in the execution of duties where necessary, constantly honing their skills, ensuring their constant professional improvement.
  • Play a central role in coaching their team on critical skills including advanced selling methodologies.
  • They will be responsible for the regional business plan including distributor sale and direct sales channels paying particular attention to the transition plan between the two sale models with thorough consideration about customers, distributors, competitions.
  • Be jointly responsible with the Commercial director in the formulation of the annual business plan
  • They will understand the situation of biopharma/biotech accounts in the region, then propose/execute the plan to penetrate the industrial segment.
  • They will Identify new large value opportunities to develop strategic business relationships in key accounts; Lead the creation of Key Account Plans for both region and contribute to China or even global Key Account plans.
  • Work closely with other functions to drive the revenue growth of the business by promoting and marketing our portfolio of products and service capabilities.
  • Continually provide feedback and assist the organizational needs around market development and new product opportunities, customer trends, competitive activities.
  • Work closely with Business Development in order to ensure up front planning for where licencing out opportunities may exist with customers and allow coordinated capture and management of these opportunities.
  • Travel (domestic and international) of up to 50%.

 

Education, Training & Qualifications

  • MSc or above in Biology or related fields
  • Experience in Bio industry related company  

Experience – work, research, voluntary, other

  • More than >8 years of experience in sale role in the Life Science market.
  • +3 years sales management experience
  • Experience in both distributor and direct business model.

  • Proficient in managing customer and/or distributor interface and relationship
  • Have the ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team, leading them to the achievement of goals/targets.
  • Ability to implement plan to hit goals, as well as having strategic thinking for next phase.
