The Opportunity:

Our Diner Engagement team is looking for a Senior QA Engineer, iOS who will help us deliver high-quality consumer-facing features. The products we build help restaurants (from small mom & pops to large enterprise groups) run their businesses and be successful.

In this role, you will:

  • Cover exploratory testing, regression, usability testing, and validating new features of OpenTable’s diner iOS applications.
  • Collaborate with other QA engineers to build testing plans and long-term testing strategies covering all of our iOS products.
  • Interact with software engineers, product managers, and designers.
  • Test for accurate implementation of product and design requirements.
  • Share your passion for quality in everything you do and encourage others to focus on all aspects of testing in their daily work.

Please apply if you have:

  • 5+ years in iOS application testing
  • Ability to interpret and understand the architecture and infrastructure of systems
  • Ability to collect logs via Charles proxy, Postman, or other similar tools
  • Experience using HTTP Proxy tools: Charles/ Fiddler/Proxyman
  • Experience with IDE - Xcode/IntelliJ/Eclipse
  • Knowledge in Swift, Java
  • Good understanding of testing methodologies and principles
  • Experience designing and implementing test plans
  • Strong debugging skills with outstanding eye for detail
  • Ability to work independently or in a group setting
  • Strong understanding of software development workflows, processes, and best practices, like Agile and Kanban
  • Experience in accessibility and localization testing

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. The range for this remote Canada based role is $86,000 - $110,000.

In addition to a competitive base salary, roles are eligible for additional compensation and benefits including: annual cash bonus, equity grant; health benefits; flexible spending account; retirement benefits; life insurance; paid time off (including PTO, paid sick leave, medical leave, bereavement leave, floating holidays and paid holidays); and parental leave and benefits.
