As a QA Engineer in the Customer Success department, you are responsible for ensuring a top-notch quality of the product. Together with a cross-functional team, you integrate our products seamlessly and on time. Having a good understanding of business requirements and rocking at automated tests development is the essence of success on the job. As soon as you enter the customer’s world, the pressure is on, the clock is ticking, and customer expectations are sky-high. You will encounter situations that demand prompt, yet smart actions.


Meet the job
We are looking for pioneers to help us establish and scale up our new hub in Krakow to support HQ in Amsterdam.
Your goal is to support the seamless integration of the Backbase platform into our customers’ systems and ensure that we deliver quality solutions during the entire development cycle of the project and that the product is implemented successfully for our customers.

Day-to-day you will be hands-on and meet with clients, test new features on different test levels (integration, system, functional, regression, exploratory testing), write and/or conduct test plans with schedules and dependencies, as well as carry out manual and automated tests. You are responsible for automated tests for frontend components of Backbase web solutions with industry-standard testing tools and scripting languages. You will also produce defect metrics and reporting on the full QA process.

Depending on the customer’s location you occasionally find yourself abroad and on-site during implementations for short periods of time. Since you are the closest link to our customers it is part of your job to work closely with our R&D department for new product development. You think of cool modern features and you signal customer demand.


How about you

  • You have experience in web test automation and you are willing to expand your knowledge to mobile;
  • You have knowledge of Java and/or JavaScript;
  • You can act as a mediator between the business and technical teams;
  • You understand continuous integration with an end to end automated testing on web and are eager to learn mobile;
  • You have an understanding of the SDLC process and its application with continuous integration tools;
  • You have a proactive approach allowing you to be self-providing, and quick learner able to mitigate impediments;
  • You are eager to share knowledge, mentoring new joiners and Junior QA's;
  • You understand and have experience with Agile methodology;
  • You have excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
