This role will be based remotely from Mexico and working with our team in the United States. For overall team productivity, we optimize meeting hours in the pacific time zone. We avoid scheduling recurring meetings that start after 3pm PT, however, ad hoc meetings occur between 8am-6pm Pacific time.

Truveta is currently seeking a skilled and seasoned Senior Project Manager to join our Engineering team. This role involves a unique blend of vendor and project management responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in implementing agile practices, managing cross-functional projects, and demonstrating proficiency in workforce planning. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be entrusted with overseeing the execution of clinical annotation and mappings focused projects. This collaborative role will involve working closely with a variety of teams, including Clinical Informatics, Terminologists, Engineering, Data Science, and vendors on a global scale. Additionally, the Senior Project Manager will play a pivotal role in crafting and executing global workforce management strategies, including vendor assessment, selection, and implementation.

This Opportunity:

Vendor Management:

  • Develop and implement a standardized vendor engagement and risk assessment approach, establishing a core playbook of best practices.
  • Lead negotiations, draft vendor agreements, and establish a robust vendor governance framework.
  • Manage the entire vendor lifecycle, including onboarding, training, and managing backfill processes.
  • Evaluate vendor performance, identify areas for improvement, and serve as the primary liaison for all vendor-related matters.
  • Centralize documentation and maintain records of vendor engagement and performance artifacts.
  • Serve as an escalation point for functional areas, facilitating resolution of challenges and maximizing opportunities with vendors.

Project Management:

  • Collaborate in the planning, execution, and oversight of annotation and mapping projects.
  • Coordinate project activities across multiple teams, including annotators, quality assurance, terminologists, vendors, engineering, and customer success
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or challenges, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct regular status meetings to review milestones and address issues.
  • Communicate effectively with senior leadership, providing regular updates on project execution metrics, strategic insights, and recommendations for improvement.

Workforce Optimization:

  • Continuously monitor and adjust resource plans based on insights from the sales pipeline, project timelines, and resource availability.
  • Oversee departmental processes and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline operations and ensure consistency.

Key Qualifications: 

  • 8+ years in project management, with a background in Agile frameworks.
  • 3+ years in vendor management, capacity planning, and workforce management.
  • Proven ability to manage end-to-end vendor lifecycle processes, from selection to performance management.
  • Familiarity with annotation or data labeling processes
  • Proficient understanding of the machine learning and modeling lifecycle.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience with project management tools such as Azure DevOps Boards and reporting tools like PowerBI would be advantageous.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory
