Senior Project Manager, R&D PMO

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager based in Sri Lanka to join the PMO team within the COO office in IFS R&D!

The main focus of the COO Office is to enable the R&D organization to rollout high-quality products by ensuring planning and execution of our product releases, aligned ways of working, project management and communication according to the Rhythm of the Business.

As a Senior Project Manager in R&D Project Management Office, you will become part of a team who are responsible for driving strategic programs and projects as well as business transformation initiatives that are key to the future success of R&D. You will be responsible for effective project planning as well as project communication and reporting, stakeholder management, change and risk management and the facilitation of collaboration amongst teams.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be expected to: 

• Lead the planning, facilitating, execution and following up on cross functional programs, projects and initiatives run by the COO Office and other parts of R&D.
• Manage programs and projects within scope, budget, and quality expectations.
• Manage project risks and change management.
• Create documentation, presentations and surveys connected to programs, projects, and initiatives. 
• Proactively report progress to the identified stakeholders and communicate results to the wider team. 
• Act on feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
• Continuously develop and enhance your knowledge of our technologies, target industries and customers

• Possess minimum seven years of documented experience in project management.
• Come with a solid project management toolbox.
• Have solid experience working in a matrix organization.
• Have experience from a global organization working across various cultures and time zones.
• Are confident in making decisions and ensuring execution.
• Are excellent at managing change and stakeholders at all levels.
• Have a proven ability to prioritize, negotiate and resolve conflicts across multiple initiatives.
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Have an operational focus and are not afraid to get their hands dirty.
