Senior Project Manager Offshore

The role of Senior Project Manager Offshore acts as  the main interface to Head of Offshore Ireland and the project teams for progressing the offshore portfolio in Ireland. The role will contribute to the country business strategy and value creation.

  • Manage a portfolio of projects to ensure successful outcomes and ensure the required resources are in place to support the offshore business
  • Ensure excellent coordination within the development teams by providing expertise and technical capacity as required for projects during early development stages and beyond.
  • Ensure proper competence and resource allocation to project teams.
  • Ensure involvement and use of resources from central Offshore functions, as well as Technical, Commercial, Procurement and Legal to support projects
  • Adapt a fit-for-purpose organisation supporting high resource utilisation and mobility across the project portfolio, and across all phases of the project lifecycle
  • Ensure compliance to company governance standards, appropriate nomination to project roles, and develop consistent understanding or roles and responsibilities aligned to Statkraft’s project governance model

Work closely with our JV partners to successfully deliver consent, route to market, land rights, grid etc and maturing projects towards FID

  • Guide and integrate best practice project management methods across the projects and portfolio. Oversee the overall planning, budgeting, and performance management process within the projects
  • Safeguard the health and welfare of the workforce.

The role report to the Head of Offshore Ireland. Mandates and decision authorities are defined in the Authority Matrix and the Operating Model.

The role shall ensure delivery of targets, including:

• Management experience of the safety, well-being, and development of employees

• Experience of adherence to Corporate Governance procedures and codes of conduct..

    Higher relevant education within engineering and business, preferably at Master´s level.

    Solid experience from

    • Project management of large capital investment projects, preferably within renewables infrastructure
    • Overseeing project development processes ensuring compliance to high technical and assurance standards
    • Contractual and commercial problem solving
    • Solid operational experience and understanding of complex operational and organisational challenges - ability to work in a matrix organisation
    • Industry/technology specific knowledge and experience is an advantage
    • Relationship-builder with the ability to collaborate constructively with our JV partners, and internal business and functional leaders
    • Leadership abilities;

    • Ability to build trust and empowerment in a distributed organisation
    • Relationship-builder with the ability to collaborate constructively with business and functional leaders • High personal integrity and high ethical standards, with strong commitment to HSSE and safe business and operational practices
    • Strong commercial mindset. Demonstrated ability to make good commercial decisions.
    • Strong drive and passion for getting projects completed safely, on-time and within budgets - serve as inspiration for others
    • Capability to build the organisation, processes, and structures required to deliver on a heightened business ambition
    • Advanced communication skills
