Media.Monks is hiring a

Senior Project Manager

Madrid, Spain

Description

Media.Monks is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead multiple projects, work streams and campaigns for an iconic automotive brand. Your well-rounded experience in the trenches allows you to accurately scope, quote, upsell and set up new projects comfortably, whilst actively steering client teams and mentoring your team. You understand the differences between creative, adaptation and always-on workflows, and know how to drive operational excellence and manage large structural changes whilst staying calm, poised and positive.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Key point of contact for local client teams: you understand business KPIs and drive meetings, overall communications, and successful client relationships. You are the first point of contact for client escalations.
  • You run several medium to large parallel projects independently, graciously steering clients and internal teams from end-to-end across multiple work streams.
  • You create accurate and realistic project scopes and budgets, and sense check those put together by more junior team members. You track project invoicing.
  • Once a new job is awarded, you help to turn pitches into projects, liaising between our creatives and makers throughout the process.
  • Conduct post-mortems with the client to improve the operations and communications on a continuous basis.
  • Liaise with media agencies and external partners. Aligning across agencies to create fully integrated campaigns across all touch points.
  • Build close-knit and trusted working relationships with clients, external agencies and internal teams.
  • Brief legal, production and language & culture teams. Ensuring the team is clear on specs, deadlines, scope, and any client or local market requirements.
  • Forecast and plan resources with great responsibility.
  • Contribute to presentation and decks, and proactively flag opportunities to upsell services or increase scope of work.
  • Support in the recruitment of new team members.
  • Mentor, guide and help onboard Jr team members to the team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in coordinating projects and teams for large multinational brands in creative production or agencies. Automotive experience is a strong plus, but not a must.
  • Clear understanding of the full integrated production lifecycle and the difference between Creative, Social, Adaptation and Always-On work streams.
  • Managing demanding clients and high complexity situations come naturally to you.
  • Proven track-record working on integrated productions from TVCs and video, through to print and digital. You know how to work with media agencies, local clearance bodies, Legal, QA and Finance teams.
  • Able to seamlessly safeguard quality, scope, timelines and budgets. You have a track-record of accurate and profitable estimates, and lead projects with great care, organisation and confidence.
  • Team player and self-starter with an unbreakable positive mindset who comfortably takes the lead. You take charge and consistently showcase a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Clear and strong communication skills in English, and any local language. Proactive and direct way of communicating across cross-cultural teams.
  • An attentive, authentic and natural mentor, you create a fun team dynamic and make sure that successes are celebrated.
  • A strong sense of urgency, you never leave problems unaddressed. Critical, curious and dare to speak up or push back.
  • Able to delegate tasks efficiently without losing visibility, ownership and control.
  • Steady rock in times of ambiguity and tight deadlines.
  • Ambitious, gritty and resilient. Live for the hustle and enjoy a fast-paced environment.
  • Quality standards are high and you motivate the bigger team to raise the bar non stop.
