Marcus & Millichap, one of the nation’s leading commercial real estate investment services company (with more than 2,000 investment sales and financing professionals in 80+ offices nationwide and throughout Canada) is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our IT team.
Responsibilities
- Ability to wear many Salesforce and PM hats including product owner and power user.
- Manages and facilitates the successful and on-time delivery of multiple projects of varying size.
- Leads requirements workshops and effectively creates agendas and approaches based on the audience and subject matter.
- Creates project plans; monitors and reviews project progress and timelines; identifies and resolves issues to limit risk and manage expectations.
- Oversees day-to-day execution of project implementation. Assists with the planning, tracking, documentation and status updates for the project.
- Tracks Jira projects (Agile and Kanban) and guides development team through stories and tasks to ensure successful iterative delivery of requirements.
- Performs an ongoing review of project status; identifies possible project risks. Recommends and implements risk mitigation solutions as approved and as appropriate.
- Functions proactively and communicates status to stakeholders effectively, with an emphasis on maintaining alignment with executive project sponsors.
- Facilitates requirements gathering and assists with the creation of project deliverables.
- Guides project delivery as an SME.
- Updates and manages project request log and reports on current project status during bi-weekly call.
- Assists in the creation of training documentation.
- Analyzes post-launch end-user issues, proposes comprehensive solutions, and assists in crafting an action plan.
Approach:

Workload - Manages 2-3 strategic projects and 2-3 tactical projects concurrently. Projects will share foundational architecture and team members.

Proficiencies:
- Jira Software & Confluence - required
- Microsoft tech stack including Azure DevOps – or similar
- Agile methodologies, scrum processes, and sprint ceremonies
- Techniques and approaches related to the architecture, development, integration, and deployment of project phases
- Functional / technical expertise, business acumen, analysis skills, risk management, delegation skills, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Management of large project teams including executive sponsors, business stakeholders, product owners, developers, QA technicians, and end users
- Identification and management of project risks
- 5+ years’ experience in technical project management
- PMP certification or training is preferred but not required
- Elements.cloud experience a plus
