Senior Project Manager (IT)

We invite you to join our exceptional team as a Senior Project Manager (in a hybrid work environment)! In this pivotal role, you will oversee and steer a portfolio of complex projects from start to finish within the Allucent IT PMO, ensuring they are accomplished on schedule, within scope, and within budget. You will manage all facets of planning, design, development, and implementation for your assigned projects. This includes collaborating with stakeholders, leading project teams, addressing potential risks, resolving issues, and ensuring that all project goals align with the approved requirements.

Additionally, you will be tasked with implementing best practices in project management and driving process enhancements to elevate our overall project management approach.

Your Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution

  • Craft comprehensive project plans using automated scheduling tools, encompassing timelines, budgets, and resource distribution.
  • Supervise project execution to ensure it aligns with objectives, quality benchmarks, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Oversee project scope, pinpoint changes, and relay updates to stakeholders effectively.
  • Possess the capability to manage program activities for clusters of interrelated projects.

Team Leadership

  • Inspire and lead project teams comprising internal personnel, contractors, and third-party vendors.
  • Delegate tasks, establish clear performance benchmarks, and track team progress.
  • Serve as the initial point of escalation for any project-related issues.
  • Exhibit flexibility in meeting at appropriate times for discussions with project participants across all global regions.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary liaison for project stakeholders, offering consistent updates on progress.
  • Recognize stakeholder requirements and ensure their expectations are embedded within the project plan.
  • Take responsibility for documenting meeting minutes related to key project discussions, decisions, action items, and important updates.

Budget Management

  • Keep a close eye on project budgets to ensure compliance with approved financial limits.
  • Gather and report project cost data, distinguishing between CapEx and OpEx expenditures.
  • Provide insights on budget discrepancies and propose cost-saving strategies as needed.
  • Authorize project expenses and oversee financial documentation as required.

Project Governance

  • Ensure that projects obtain the necessary approvals, as defined by the PMO, before commencing operations.
  • Engage in activities, including business cases, that establish the foundation for assigned projects.
  • Ensure completion of all project closure documents and gain project sponsor approval before declaring the project complete.
  • Supervise that any required modifications to project scope, schedule, and budget adhere to the PMO change request procedure.
  • Conduct thorough project post-mortems and offer suggestions for future enhancements based on lessons learned or retrospective analysis, as applicable.

End User Readiness

  • Design and implement a training plan for end users if there is a need for education on the new technology or processes deployed.
  • Devise and execute an Organizational Change Management plan if the new technology or processes introduce a different way of operating for any segment of the organization.

Requirements

What you will need to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, IT, Project Management, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a lead project manager, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale projects, budgets, and teams
  • Extensive experience and ability to manage project financials for both CapEx and OpEx
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and ability to lead projects using those models
  • Strong proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, PPM)
  • Must be very familiar with Computer System Validation (CSV) and how to manage that within the construct of the overall project
  • Able to manage and operate within a global matrix organization including flexibility to meet at suitable times conducive to discussions with project participants in all global geographic regions
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Must be very detail-oriented with respect to documentation and communication

Preferred Qualifications: MBA or project management master’s degree - Familiarity with GxP requirements and regulations - Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification - Agile (i.e., scrum master, product owner, SAFe) certification - Six Sigma Certification
