About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee multiple open data platform and operational projects requiring strong collaboration and communication skills as they will be partnering with various development teams and across multiple business units.
The Open Data Platforms Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects focused on data enrichments, establishing and enhancing connections with data providers, integrating data access platforms, managing consumer permission data consent services, and ensuring seamless platform operations. This role requires a project manager with technical aptitude, strong leadership skills and experience delivering data-driven products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Management & Coordination:
o Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of open data platform projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
o Coordinate with stakeholders, product managers, and development teams to identify workstreams, establish project timelines, milestones, and general platform deliverables,
o Monitor progress to ensure timely completion of all platform initiates to the defined and agree upon scope.
o Build detailed project plans encompassing tasks from all workstreams, track dependencies, and track to milestones.
o Manage scope and deliverable for all open data platform projects and provide weekly status reports to stakeholders o Proactively identify, track and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
o Ensure platform teams are capturing project-related information in Jira and Confluence o Assist product team in platform roadmap planning efforts and quarterly planning with inputs that your tracking like resource allocation and open capacity utilizing tools like Asana or similar tools
2. Manages Open Data Platforms projects related to Consent, Data Enrichment, Core Platform and Data Connection Services.
o Oversee projects related to data enrichment initiatives, enhancing the quality, consistency, and accessibility of data.
o Manage projects related to the integration and maintenance of connections with data providers and data access platforms.
o Facilitate the development plans for new data connections to data access platforms and partnerships with external data providers.
o Lead projects aimed at optimizing performance of machine learning models and services hosted by our platforms.
o Manage projects and platform deliverables related to consent management services that are used by multiple products
o Collaborate with stakeholders from legal and compliance teams on projects related to managing user consent across different data platforms supporting our compliance with data privacy regulations and adapt operating tracking and monitoring for evolving regulatory requirements.
3. Project Management of Platform Operations & Maintenance Initiatives:
o Manages projects related to operationalization of the platform including adherence to ECS technical and business standards o Manage operational projects like regular platform updates, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
4. Stakeholder Management & Communication:
o Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, key metrics, and any changes to project scope or timelines. o Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams to drive project success.
o Coordinate closely with project managers from other development teams to align our deliverables/milestones with the overall program.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in data management, technology, or digital transformation projects.
• Experience working with Jira, Confluence, Asana or other similar tools
• Experience managing multiple projects and teams, with a strong track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Knowledge of open data standards, data integration, data enrichment, and data governance practices. • Familiarity with consent management and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile) is highly desirable.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with data access platforms, data APIs, or data exchange technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud services and data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of data analytics, data science, or data engineering principles.
• Understanding of the data needs and challenges of multiple business units or sectors.
