Summary
Telesign is looking for an experienced Senior Program Manager to join our team in Belgrade. In this role, you will work closely with Engineering team members, partners and management and provide program management leadership to build products and solutions that successfully meet customer needs and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead major department-wide and company-wide programs and initiatives to achieve the department’s and company’s business in an agile environment. Responsible for definition, planning, execution and closure of large programs and initiatives in a fast-paced environment across several engineering development teams in different geographies and companies.
- Lead collaborations to achieve alignment on scope, schedule, and requirements among cross-functional stakeholders. Facilitate cross-team coordination to resolve dependencies and manage expectations of stakeholders.
- Work closely with product managers to ensure that program deliverables and timelines are consistent with business priorities while balancing shifting priorities.
- Collaborate with Engineering senior leadership to define program/initiative objectives and engineering roadmaps.
- Present regularly to audiences that are VP-level and above to report overall program accomplishments, progress, risks, issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with internal and external communication to improve transparency and clearly articulate information to different audiences.
- Identify and resolve dependencies between teams in the program proactively to ensure smooth integration and delivery.
- Proactively identify and communicate risks and implement risk mitigation plans. Prioritize and track issues and create remediation plans for resolution of impediments.
- Lead teams to negotiate tradeoffs and make data-driven decisions.
- Track and report metrics, and lead reviews to hold teams accountable.
- Build relationships with stakeholders to proactively understand their needs and meet their expectations.
- Track program status and resolve impediments or roadblocks as needed.
- Ensure successful deliverable completion despite challenges of varying complexity.
- Co-create new ideas with the teams to improve performance and productivity. Facilitate data-driven team analysis of metrics to identify trends and perform experiments for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with program management team members to improve processes across the department and plan their rollout. Document processes and help define improvements by working with teams to identify opportunities to increase efficiency.
- Perform other duties or projects as assigned.
Essential requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (preferably BSCS, BSEE or similar) or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of hands-on cross-functional program management or project management experience for software development teams
- Demonstrated end-to-end software development life cycle (SDLC) implementation experience delivering multiple high quality, customer-facing commercial software offerings on time using Agile methodologies
- Hands-on experience with methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban and understanding of Agile metrics and reports
- Experience using Agile tools and proficient in Jira
- Customer-focused with experience leading cross-functional initiatives and working with diverse stakeholders to build strong relationships across the organization
- Experience working with senior leadership such as VPs both in presentations and collaboration
- Outstanding presentation, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong facilitation skills with a demonstrated ability to inspire continuous improvement
- Excellent negotiation skills with experience in conflict management
- Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical approach
- Data-driven analysis skills for measuring and managing delivery
- Proven organizational, time management, planning and prioritization skills with strong initiative
- Tech-savvy and open to learning new things
- Comfortable operating in rapidly changing environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working as a software developer or engineer
- Hands-on experience managing projects that interface with external, third-party stakeholders and vendors
- Experience working with global teams.
