Weatherford is hiring a Senior Production Planning Supervisor for our West Greens Road facility in Houston. The Production Planning Specialist is responsible for defining, developing, and maintaining planning activities within a facility. This role collaborates closely with production teams, engineering, procurement, quotations and/or order management to ensure that resources, materials, and capacities are allocated effectively and aligned with customer need dates.
Roles & Responsibilities

QUALITY
- Responsible for being familiar with the Company's Quality policies and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherford’s Management System
- Maintains service quality as immediate priorities when working across all areas of the business and continually seeks areas for improvement
OPERATIONS
- Develop and maintain plans, ensuring alignment with customer need dates, future forecast and available resources
- Schedule new sales orders upon assessing material and capacity availability
- Act on MRP/DRP messages daily as they become available for processing
- Create and release work orders to the workshop and assembly after clearing shortages
- Escalate material and equipment shortages as required
- Evaluate overdue and critical orders, aging work orders, and adjust overdue dates as necessary
- Action expedites/defer/cancel requests and provide feedback to order management team and/or customers
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to determine production requirements and identify any potential bottlenecks or challenges
- Monitor material availability and coordinate with Procurement to expedite and prevent any disruptions
- Ability to identify supply chain risks and work closely with Procurement and Sourcing leads to proactively eliminate them
- Reccommends areas for improvement to reduce lead times
- Collaborate with the engineering team to incorporate ECN changes into the production schedule
- Ensure that workorder plan complies with customer specific quality plans for witness hold Third Party Inspection (TPI) points
- Provide regular reports to management on planning metrics
- Provide mentorship to lower-level team members as appropriate

- Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external
FINANCIAL

- Costs incurred should be within approved budget, processed within agreed time frames & following the relevant financial policy and procedure

REQUIRED
- Minimum of 2+ years related experience
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience of planning/scheduling in an MRP-driven environment
PREFERRED
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Supply Chain, Engineering (manufacturing, mechanical, industrial) or related fields
- Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP), APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), or Sourcing Certificate
- Lean or Green Belt Six Sigma certification
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
REQUIRED
- Experience in MRP/ERP systems
- Demonstrated strong communication skills, ability to communicate at various levels within the organization
- Must be able to read, write and speak in English and potentially other language relevant in local hub
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team
- Intermediate Excel user
- Proficiency in MS Word and Outlook
- Solid understanding of Materials Requirement Planning (MRP)
- Solid, proven organizational, project management and leadership skills
- Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
PREFERRED
- Knowledgeable in work processes for Notification Management, Work Order Management, Maintenance planning and scheduling
- JDE Working Knowledge
